WARNING
Observe the following precautions.
Failure to observe this may result in serious or fatal injury.
■ Opening and closing the canvas roof
- Do not allow passengers to extend their hands or head out of the vehicle while driving.
- Do not sit on the canvas roof.
- The driver controls the opening and closing of the canvas roof.
NOTE
■ To prevent damage to the canvas roof
- Do not sit on or place excessive weight on the canvas roof. This could damage its operating system.
- Remove any water collected on the outside of the canvas roof and dry the surface before opening. Water may enter the vehicle interior and cause damage.
- Avoid leaving the canvas roof open for long periods, for example for more than one day. Doing so may fade the folded outer canvas and cause irreparable cracks in the fabric.
- To avoid damaging the soft top material, do not operate it if the temperature is below 0 °C or if the outer cover is frozen. If it is nevertheless necessary to operate the soft top, warm up the vehicle in a heated garage before operating the mechanism.
- Remove ice and snow from the soft top before opening it. Also avoid using sharp or pointed objects, or any other object that could scratch the outer cover.
- Do not place objects on the guide rail or in the surrounding area. The soft top could become caught while sliding.
