· With the ignition switch off, disconnect the connector on the side of the distributor.

· Remove the screws and the distributor cap together with the O-ring.

· Remove the rotor from the shaft, then remove the dust cover.

· Connect an ohmmeter to the low-tension terminals of the coil and check that the resistance is as specified in the "Specifications".

· Connect an ohmmeter to the positive low-tension terminal and to the top (high-tension) terminal of the coil, and check again that the resistance is as specified.

· If the resistance differs from the specified value, replace the coil.

· Install the dust cover, rotor and cap, and connect the wiring connector.
