· With the ignition switch off, disconnect the low-tension wires from the ignition coil mounted on the bulkhead.

· Disconnect the high-tension cable from the coil.

· Connect an ohmmeter to the low-tension terminals of the coil and check that the resistance is as specified in the "Specifications".

· Connect an ohmmeter to the positive low-tension terminal and to the high-tension terminal, and check again that the resistance is as specified.

· If the resistance differs from the specified value, replace the coil.

· Restore the wiring.
