Toyota RAV4. Installation

  1. Install camshaft timing oil control valve assembly
  2. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the o-ring of the oil control valve.
  3. Install the oil control valve with the bolt.
Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*Lbf) Notice:

Make sure that the o-ring is not cracked or jammed.

  1. Connect the oil control valve connector.

  1. Connect cable to negative battery terminal
  2. Check for engine oil leaks
  3. Start the engine, and check that there are no oil leaks.
  4. Install no. 1 Engine cover (see page es-414)
