Shifting between positions

► Positions D, R and N can only be selected with the engine running.
► Positions P and N can only be disengaged with the vehicle stationary when the brake pedal is depressed: Shiftlock function.

Keep the brake pedal depressed until you are ready to move off, because once a driving position is selected the vehicle is immediately ready to move.◄

Selecting positions D, R, N

Move the selector lever in the required direction, if necessary past the detent point. To disengage P or select R, press button 1 at the same time.

The selected position is shown on the selector lever.

After release, the selector lever returns to the center position.

Press button P.

Position P is engaged automatically when, after coming to a complete stop with position R or D selected, the driver unbuckles the seat belt and opens the driver's door.◄
