Sport Program and Manual Mode M/S

Move the selector lever from D to the left – the sport program is activated and the display shows S1 to S6. This position is recommended for drivers who prefer a dynamic driving style.

To return to automatic mode, move the selector lever to the right into position D.

Shifting gears with the selector lever

Push the lever forward or back to activate Steptronic manual mode. The display shows M1 to M6.

Upshifting or downshifting only takes place at the appropriate engine speed and vehicle speed (for example, downshifting is not performed when engine speed is too high). The instrument cluster first shows the selected gear and, after a moment, the actual gear.

Shifting gears with the steering wheel switches

The switches on the steering wheel allow you to control the transmission without taking your hands off the steering wheel.

► When the transmission is in automatic mode D, pressing a steering wheel switch causes it to switch to manual control mode.

► After a longer pause since the last press of a steering wheel switch, the transmission returns from manual control mode to automatic mode D.

With position M/S selected, the transmission remains in manual mode.◄

► Downshift: press either switch away from you, see arrows –.
