Opening and closing: from inside

This button allows you to unlock and lock the doors and the tailgate when the front doors are closed. The alarm system is not armed and the fuel filler flap is not locked.

The following functions can also be programmed:

► automatic locking of the central locking system if no door has been opened;

► automatic locking of the central locking system after the vehicle moves off.

iDrive operating principles

1. Press the button.

The main menu opens.

2. Press the controller to open the menu.
3. Select "Vehicle settings" and press the controller.
4. Select "Door locks" and press the controller.
5. Select "Central locking" and press the controller.

6. Select "Lock if no door opened" or "Lock after moving off".

7. Press the controller.

indicates the selected option.

This setting is stored in the memory for the key currently in use.

Unlocking and opening

► Unlock all doors with the central locking button, then open the required door by pulling its handle above the armrest.
► Or pull the door handle twice – the door unlocks first, then opens.

Locking

► Lock all doors with the central locking button or ► press in the lock buttons on the doors.

So that the driver cannot be accidentally blocked from entering the vehicle, the locking button does not depress when the driver's door is open.

Persons or animals remaining in the vehicle may lock the doors from inside. Therefore, always take the keys with you when leaving the vehicle.◄
