When closing the windows, monitor the process from start to finish: risk of injury

When leaving the vehicle, always take the keys with you and close the doors. This prevents children, for example, from operating the power windows and protects them from accidental injury.◄

Opening and Closing the Windows

Ignition key in position 1 or higher:

► Press the switch to the first detent – the window lowers until you release the switch.

► Press the switch past the second detent – the window lowers automatically. Pressing the switch again stops the opening process.

The window closes in the same way.

To do this, pull the switch.

After switching off the ignition

Power window operation remains available:

► in position 1 – indefinitely;
► in position 0 or with the ignition key removed – for 1 minute.

For comfort operation via the remote control or the door lock.

Anti-trapping function

If the drive force exceeds a certain value while the window is closing, the closing process stops immediately and the window lowers slightly.

In any case, make sure there are no obstacles in the path of the windows, because in rare cases (for example, if a thin object is in the path of the glass) the anti-trapping function may not activate.

If the switch is held past the second detent while the window is closing, the protective function is limited. In this case, when an obstacle is encountered, the window opens only a few millimeters.

If the switch is pulled again past the second detent within 4 seconds and then held in this position, the injury protection function is switched off.◄

Safety Switch

This switch can be used to prevent the rear windows from being opened and closed with the power window switches in the rear of the passenger compartment (for example, by children). When the child safety function is enabled, the LED in the switch lights up.

When transporting children, deactivate the rear window regulators using the rear window lockout switch. This will help protect them from injury.◄

Accessories on windows

After installing accessories within the window travel range, such as a mobile phone antenna clamped between the glass and the window frame, the system must be initialized to adapt it to the new conditions.
