Anti-Lock Braking System

~1min read

The Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) prevents wheel lockup.

ABS begins to control the brake mechanisms as soon as a wheel tends to lock. Vehicle control is maintained even during hard braking.

When ABS is operating, the brake pedal pulsates and a characteristic noise can be heard.

For optimal braking performance, keep the brake pedal fully depressed, even if you feel it pulsating.

Do not reduce pressure on the pedal.
