The brake system has two independent hydraulic circuits.

If one brake circuit fails, the vehicle will still brake using the other circuit. However, to ensure effective braking, you must press the brake pedal harder. This means more effort is required from you.

The braking distance will increase. Before continuing the trip, seek assistance at a service station.

If the engine is not running, the brake booster stops working after one or two brake pedal applications. Braking effectiveness will not decrease, but considerably more force is required to brake. It is very important to remember this when towing.
