The Citroën C5 is fitted with an ITT Teves ABS system with 4 sensors, type MK 60, or, for vehicles fitted with ASR,

a BASR MK 60 ABS. The circuit consists of an electro-hydraulic unit, 8 solenoid valves controlled by an integrated electronic control unit, 4 wheel speed sensors, a brake light switch and a warning light on the instrument cluster. The front wheels are controlled separately, while the rear wheels are controlled simultaneously in the same way: the first wheel that tends to lock triggers control on both wheels.
