Electrical load shedding

~1min read

Electrical load shedding is a function managed by the BSI.

The BSI sets 10 load shedding levels when electrical consumption exceeds the alternator output.

The load shedding level determines which electrical consumers or functions are deactivated.

Level 6 load shedding deactivates defrost.

Defrost can only be deactivated if it has been active for at least 6 minutes.
