Front Head Restraint Removal

To remove the head restraint, raise it as high as possible. Then press the adjustment button and the release button at the base of each post while pulling the head restraint upward. To reinstall the head restraint, insert the head restraint posts into the holes. Then adjust it to the desired height.

NOTE:

Do not rotate the head restraint 180 degrees into an incorrect position in an attempt to gain additional clearance to the back of the head.

• An unsecured head restraint may be thrown forward in a collision or sudden stop and could result in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants. Always store removed head restraints securely outside the passenger compartment.
• ALL head restraints MUST be reinstalled in the vehicle to properly protect occupants. Follow the reinstallation instructions above before driving the vehicle or occupying a seat.
