Keyless Enter-N-Go — Passive Entry
In this manual: KNOW YOUR VEHICLE
~1min read
The Passive Entry system is an enhancement to the key fob and Keyless Enter-N-Go feature. This feature allows the vehicle door(s) to be locked and unlocked without pressing the lock or unlock buttons on the key fob.
NOTE:
- Passive Entry can be turned on or off in the Uconnect settings.
- The key fob may not be detected by the Passive Entry system if it is located near a mobile phone, laptop, or other electronic device; these devices may block the key fob wireless signal and prevent the Passive Entry system from locking/unlocking the vehicle.
- Passive Entry unlock activates the approach lighting (low beam headlamps, license plate lamps, parking lamps) for a time set to 0, 30, 60, or 90 seconds. Passive Entry unlock also activates two flashes of the turn signal lamps.
- If wearing gloves or if it is raining/snowing on the Passive Entry door handle, the unlock sensitivity may be impaired, resulting in a slower response time.
- If the vehicle is unlocked using Passive Entry and no door is opened within 60 seconds, the vehicle will lock again and (if equipped) arm the vehicle security alarm.
