PARKVIEW REAR CAMERA
The ParkView Rear Backup Camera allows you to view the area behind your vehicle on the display screen whenever the transmission selector is in the REVERSE position. The image will be shown on the navigation/media radio screen along with the message "Check Entire Surroundings" at the top of the screen. This message will disappear after five seconds. The ParkView Rear Backup Camera is located at the rear of the vehicle, above the rear license plate.
Manual Activation of the Backup Camera
- Press the "Controls" button located at the bottom of the Uconnect display.
- Press the "Rear Camera" button to turn on the backup camera system.
NOTE:
The ParkView Backup Camera has programmable operating modes that can be selected through the Uconnect system.
When the vehicle is shifted out of REVERSE (with camera delay disabled), the backup camera mode exits and the previous screen is displayed. When the vehicle is shifted out of REVERSE (with camera delay enabled), the camera image will continue to be displayed for up to 10 seconds unless one of the following conditions occurs: the vehicle speed exceeds 13 km/h, the vehicle is shifted into PARK, the ignition is turned to OFF, or the user presses the "X" button to exit the camera display.
During manual activation, the timer will start after the vehicle speed exceeds 8 mph (13 km/h). The backup camera image will turn off when this timer reaches 10 seconds. The timer will reset when the vehicle speed is 8 mph (13 km/h) or below. If the vehicle speed remains below 13 km/h, the rear view camera image will be displayed until the transmission is shifted into PARK, the ignition is turned to OFF, or the "X" button is pressed.
When this feature is enabled, active guidelines are superimposed on the image to illustrate the width of the vehicle and the predicted backup path based on steering wheel position. Zones of different colors indicate the distance to the rear of the vehicle. The following table lists the approximate distances for each zone:

NOTE:
If snow, ice, dirt, or any foreign substance accumulates on the camera lens, clean the lens with water and wipe it dry with a soft cloth. Do not cover the lens.
