- Place the vehicle in PARK and turn the ignition off.
- Press near the rear edge and center of the fuel filler door to release it. The door will open. Open the door fully by hand.

- Open the fuel filler door.

NOTE:
In some cold conditions, ice may prevent the fuel filler door from opening. If this occurs, lightly press on the fuel filler door to break the accumulated ice.
- There is no fuel filler cap. Two flaps inside the pipe seal the system.
- Fully insert the fuel nozzle into the filler neck. The nozzle will open the flaps and hold them open during refueling.
- Fuel the vehicle. Stop refueling when the fuel nozzle clicks off or the fuel tank is full.
- Hold the nozzle in the filler neck for five seconds to allow fuel to drain from the nozzle.
- Remove the fuel nozzle and close the fuel filler door.
- To close the fuel filler door, press on the center rear edge (at the three o'clock position) of the fuel filler door, then release.
NOTE:
A funnel (located in the cargo area near the spare tire) is provided for opening the flapper doors for emergency refueling with a gas can.
- Never light any smoking materials in or near the vehicle when the fuel filler door is open or the fuel tank is being filled.
- Never refuel with the engine running. This is in violation of most state and federal fire safety regulations and may cause the Malfunction Indicator Light to illuminate.
- A fire may occur if fuel is pumped into a portable container that is inside the vehicle. You may be burned. Always place fuel containers on the ground when filling.
