Introduction

Normal Operation and Fault Symptoms

Refer to DTC Fault Trigger Conditions.

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

Trouble Code Description Fault Trigger Condition
PCM P0234:00 Turbocharger/Supercharger "A" Overboost Condition: no subtype information This DTC sets when the turbocharger system TCBP PID value is greater than the calibrated threshold, or the turbocharger system TCBP PID control value exceeds the desired Turbocharger Boost Pressure (TCBP) for a calibrated period of time. Inspect the hoses for restrictions, cracks and improper connections. Check the turbocharger wastegate control solenoid for proper operation.
PCM P0245:00 Turbocharger/Supercharger Wastegate Actuator 'A' Low: No Subtype Information Sets when the PCM detects an open circuit or a short to ground in the TCWRVS circuit. This DTC sets only when power is supplied to the solenoid.
PCM P0246:00 Turbocharger/Supercharger Wastegate Actuator 'A' High: No Subtype Information Sets when the PCM detects high voltage in the TCWRVS circuit. This DTC sets only when power is supplied to the solenoid.
PCM P0299:00 Turbocharger/Supercharger "A" Underboost Condition: no subtype information Sets when the PCM detects that the actual Turbocharger Boost Pressure (TCBP) is less than the desired Turbocharger Boost Pressure (TCBP) by 27.6 kPa (4 psi) or more for 5 seconds, indicating insufficient boost pressure. Inspect the hoses for restrictions, cracks and improper fitting connections. Check the turbocharger wastegate control solenoid for proper operation.
