Removal

  1. Remove the heater core.
    Refer to: Heater Core (412-00 Climate Control System - General Information, Removal and Installation).
  2. Remove the seal.
  3. Remove the screws and the thermostatic expansion valve.
    Torque: 71 lb-in (8 N·m)
  4. Remove the seal.
  5. Remove the screws, release all retainers and remove the evaporator cover.
    1. Remove the evaporator core.
    1. Disconnect the evaporator temperature sensor.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
