The system will alert you to unauthorized entry into your vehicle. It will activate if any door, the liftgate or the hood is opened without using the key, remote control or keyless entry keypad.

When an unauthorized entry attempt is made while the alarm is armed, the turn signal indicators flash and the horn sounds.

Take all remote controls to an authorized dealer if there is any potential alarm problem with your vehicle.

Arming the Alarm

The alarm is ready to arm when there is no key in your vehicle. Lock the vehicle electronically to arm the alarm.

Disarming the Alarm

Disarm the alarm by doing one of the following:

  • Unlocking the doors or liftgate with the remote control or the keyless entry keypad.
  • Start the vehicle or turn the ignition on.
  • Use the key in the driver door to unlock your vehicle, then turn the ignition on within 12 seconds.
