Passive Anti-Theft System
SecuriLock®
The system is an engine immobilizer system. It is designed to help prevent the engine from starting unless a coded key programmed for your vehicle is used. Using an incorrect key may prevent the engine from starting. A message may appear in the information display.
If you cannot start the engine with a properly coded key, a malfunction has occurred and a message may appear in the information display.
Automatic Arming
The vehicle arms immediately after the ignition is turned off.
Automatic Disarming
Turning the ignition on with a coded key disarms the vehicle.
Spare Keys
The integrated key head transmitter functions as a programmed ignition key, controls all locks, starts the vehicle, and operates as a remote transmitter.
The Intelligent Access key functions as a programmed key, controls the driver door lock, and activates Intelligent Access with Push-Button Start, as well as operating as a remote transmitter.
If your programmed transmitters or standard SecuriLock coded keys (head transmitters only, built-in) are lost or stolen, and you do not have an additional coded key, you will need to have the vehicle towed to an authorized dealer. You will need to have the key codes erased from your vehicle and new coded keys programmed.
Keep the additional programmed key away from the vehicle in a safe place to prevent any inconvenience. Contact an authorized dealer to purchase additional or replacement keys.
Programming a Spare Intelligent Access Key
