Use the touchscreen to create a MyKey:

  1. Insert the key you want to program into the ignition. If your vehicle has pushbutton start, place the remote control in the backup slot. Refer to Passive Anti-Theft System.
  2. Turn the ignition on.
  3. Access the main menu on the touchscreen, then scroll through the menu to change your MyKey settings. In the MyKey menu, select the Create MyKey option. Refer to Settings.
  4. When prompted, press and hold the OK button until you see a message instructing you to mark this key as a MyKey. The programmed restrictions apply when you turn off, open and close the driver door, and restart the vehicle with the programmed key or remote control.

You have successfully created a MyKey. Make sure you mark it so you can distinguish it from Admin keys.

You can also program customizable settings for the keys. Refer to Programming and Changing Customizable Features.
