MyKey™

Additional Settings

~2min read

You can configure certain vehicle settings when you first create MyKey. You can also change the settings later using the Admin Key.

  • Various vehicle speed limits so that the MyKey Driver cannot exceed a set speed. The information display shows warnings accompanied by a chime when the MyKey Driver reaches the set speed. You cannot override the set speed by fully pressing the accelerator pedal.
  • Various vehicle speed reminders so that MyKey Drivers know when their vehicle speed is approaching the limit. Warnings appear in your information display and a chime sounds when MyKey Drivers exceed the set vehicle speed.
  • The maximum audio system volume is limited to 45% so that MyKey Drivers can concentrate on the road. A message appears in the information display when MyKey Drivers attempt to exceed the limited volume. MyKey also disables automatic volume control. Note: If your vehicle has an AM/FM radio or a very basic audio system, the radio may not be limited.
  • Always on setting. This setting keeps certain features on and active for MyKey Drivers. For example, E911 or emergency assistance and Do Not Disturb features remain on even if the MyKey Driver uses feature control to turn them off. When this setting is selected, you cannot turn off AdvanceTrac or traction control (if your vehicle has it).
