Hood Opening

  1. Open the driver-side front door.
  2. Pull the hood release lever fully and allow it to return fully.
  3. Pull the hood release lever fully a second time.
  4. Open the hood.
  5. Support the hood with the prop rod.

Hood Closing

  1. Release the prop rod from the retainer and secure it properly in the clip.
  2. Lower the hood and let it fall under its own weight during the last 10–14 inches (25–35 cm).
