IMPORTANT AUDIO SYSTEM INFORMATION

WARNINGS

  • Due to technical incompatibility, some discs recorded on CD recorders (CD-R and CD-RW) may not play correctly in Ford units.
  • Ford players are designed to play discs that comply with the International Red Book audio standard. Some copy-protected discs do not comply with this standard, so their playback cannot be guaranteed.
  • Dual-layer, double-sided discs (DVD Plus, CD-DVD) available on the market are thicker than standard CDs, so their playback cannot be guaranteed.

They may also get stuck in the unit. Discs with irregular shapes, and discs with a scratch-protection layer or with stickers, should not be played.

If such a disc is found in a unit returned for warranty repair, the warranty claim will not be accepted.
  • All CD players are designed to play only 12 cm compact discs.
  • The unit may be damaged if an unsuitable object, such as a credit card or coin, is inserted into the disc slot.
