Radio Antenna. Removal and Installation

Removal

Roof Antenna

1. 1
   Carefully lower the rear of the headliner.
   Refer to: Headliner (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
2. 2
   • Remove the antenna base retaining bolt and the audio antenna bracket.
     Torque: 62 lb-in (7 N·m)

   • Disconnect the electrical connectors.

   • Remove the audio system antenna.

   

FM2 diversity antenna

1. 1
   Remove the D-pillar trim panel.
   Refer to: D-Pillar Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
2. 2
   • Disconnect the electrical connectors.

   • Remove the bolt and the FM2 diversity antenna.
     Torque: 97 lb-in (11 N·m)

   

Installation

Existing roof antenna and FM2 diversity antenna

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Roof Antenna Replacement

1. 1
   • Do not unscrew the antenna bolt. Insert the antenna cable and the base mounting stud through the roof opening, carefully press the antenna base down until an audible click is heard.

   • Connect the electrical connectors.
2. 2
   Install the headliner.
   Refer to: Headliner (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
