DTC U1000:00

Normal Operation and Fault Symptoms

The BCM controls the output of several vehicle systems using solid-state drivers. When any of these drivers becomes overloaded, the BCM disables the output and monitors the number of repeated faults on each of these circuits. The module compares this overload count to 3 progressive thresholds set for each circuit. At each threshold, DTC U1000:00 is set along with the DTC associated with the affected circuit.

Normal Operation and Fault Symptoms

The wake-up control circuit wakes up the PCM and SOBDMC/TCM before engine start/torque request. The PCM and SOBDMC/TCM must wake up before the engine start/torque request so that they have time to initialize. The wake-up control circuit is controlled by the BCM, but the DTC may be set in the PCM or SOBDMC.

The BCM activates the wake-up control circuit when:

  • The driver door is open.
  • The key is inserted in the ignition lock.
  • The ignition is in the ON or START position.

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

Trouble Code Description Fault Trigger Conditions
C113A:11 Wake-Up Control: Short to Ground Continuous on-demand DTC that is set in the BCM when a short to ground is detected in the wake-up control circuit.
C113A:15 Wake-Up Control: Short to Battery or Open Continuous on-demand DTC that is set in the BCM when a short to battery voltage or an open is detected in the wake-up control circuit.
