Operating principle
The system prevents the engine from being started with a key that is not correctly coded.
Coded keys
If a key is lost, a replacement key can be purchased from an authorised Dealer. If possible, note the key number shown on the tag supplied with the original keys. Additional spare keys can also be obtained from an authorised Dealer.Note: If a key is lost, have all remaining keys erased and recoded. Have replacement keys coded together with the remaining, already coded keys. For further information, contact an authorised Dealer.
Note: Do not cover the keys with metal objects. This could prevent the receiver from recognising a coded key.Engine immobiliser activation
After switching off the ignition, the engine immobiliser will activate automatically after a short period of time.Engine immobiliser deactivation
When the ignition is switched on and a correctly coded key is used, the engine immobiliser will deactivate automatically. If the engine cannot be started using a correctly coded key, have the vehicle checked by a Dealer.
