If an engine oil meeting the WSS-M2C913-D or WSS-M2C948-B specification cannot be obtained, an SAE 5W-30 engine oil meeting ACEA A5/B5 is acceptable.

Note: Do not use more than 1 L of alternative engine oil between scheduled maintenance intervals.

Note: The correct compressor oil and refrigerant must be used for the air conditioning system when the system is serviced. Using incorrect air conditioning compressor oil or refrigerant may cause damage that is not covered by the vehicle warranty.

Using oils and fluids that do not meet the specified specifications and viscosity grade may result in:

  • damage to components, which may not be covered by the vehicle warranty.
  • longer starter motor engagement times.
  • higher emission levels.
  • Reduced engine performance.
  • Reduced fuel economy.
  • Reduced brake performance.
