WARNINGS
- Failure to pay attention to the road may result in loss of vehicle control, collision and injury. We strongly recommend that you exercise extreme caution when using any device that may take your attention away from the road. Driving your vehicle safely is your first responsibility. We advise against using portable devices while driving and encourage you to use voice-operated systems whenever possible. Make sure you are aware of all applicable laws that may affect the use of electronic devices while driving.
- For safety reasons, do not connect or change the settings of your portable media player while driving.
- Store your portable media player in a safe place, such as the center console or glove box, when your vehicle is moving.

The auxiliary input jack lets you connect and listen to music from your portable media player through your vehicle's speakers.
You can use any portable media player that accepts headphones. Your audio extension cable must have 1/8 inch (3.5 millimeter) male connectors at each end.
- Turn off the engine, radio and portable media player. Set the parking brake and place the transmission in P (for vehicles with automatic transmission) or neutral (for vehicles with manual transmission).
- Connect the portable media player extension cable to the auxiliary input jack.
- Turn on the radio. Select a tuned FM station or a CD.
- Adjust the volume as desired.
- Turn on your portable media player and set the volume to half of its maximum level.
- Press the AUX button until LINE or LINE IN appears on the screen. You should be able to hear the music from your device even if the volume is low.
- Adjust the volume on your portable media player until it reaches the same level as the FM station or CD volume. To make this adjustment, alternate between the AUX and FM or CD controls.
