Using Cruise Control on Hills

~1min read

How well cruise control maintains speed on hills depends on vehicle speed, load, and the steepness of the hill. When climbing steep hills, you may need to press the accelerator pedal to maintain vehicle speed. When going downhill, you may need to brake or shift to a lower gear to keep vehicle speed from increasing. If the brake pedal is applied, cruise control will disengage.
