Glass

Clean the inside and outside surfaces of the vehicle windows with special glass cleaners commercially available. A solution of vinegar in water, mixing one part vinegar with ten parts water, can also be used. This solution effectively removes the hazy film from the inside of the glass that is deposited by tobacco smoke. Use a soft cloth or paper towel to wipe the glass and clear plastic surfaces.

WARNING

Note that the electrically conductive grid of the rear window defroster is bonded to the inside surface of the rear window, and on some vehicles a wire antenna is also fitted there. Therefore, do not wipe the rear window across the grid lines (from top to bottom) to avoid damaging the fine wires. Clean the inside surface of the rear window carefully and only along the lines of the defroster grid.
