• The seat belt must not touch or lie across the child's neck. Improper positioning of the belt across the neck may result in serious neck injury in the event of a traffic accident.

• The shoulder portion of the seat belt must not pass under the arm or lie behind the child's back. This may result in serious injury in an accident.

In addition, this belt position increases the likelihood of the child slipping out from under the seat belt in the event of a traffic accident.

• Do not use the same seat belt to restrain two people at the same time. Otherwise, children may be seriously injured in an accident.

• Do not place any objects between the seat belt and the occupant. Installing additional items, such as pads to reduce pressure or devices to change the position of the shoulder belt, may reduce the effectiveness of the seat belts and increase the likelihood of injury in a vehicle accident.
