Before driving

Break-In Period

~1min read

To ensure the reliability and durability of your vehicle during subsequent operation, observe the following guidelines during the first 1,000 km (600 miles) of driving.

• Avoid sudden acceleration and do not start off with the accelerator pedal fully depressed.

• Avoid sudden braking during the first 300 km (200 miles) of vehicle operation.

• Do not change the engine oil earlier than specified in the maintenance schedule.

• Do not tow a trailer.

Follow these same guidelines after an engine overhaul or replacement, and after replacing the brake pads.
