Excessive speed is the main cause of road traffic accidents and fatalities. In general, the higher the speed, the greater the risk of a road traffic accident, but low speed does not eliminate the possibility of a crash. Never exceed a speed that is safe for the prevailing conditions, regardless of the posted speed limits.
