Driver Assistance System

Function Disabled

~1min read

If the windshield where the front view camera or sensor is located is covered with foreign matter, such as snow or rain, the detection performance may be reduced and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist may be temporarily limited or disabled.

If this happens, the Forward Safety System is malfunctioning. The "Camera Blocked" warning message will appear, andand the warning lights on the instrument cluster will illuminate.

The system will operate normally once the snow, rain, or foreign matter is removed.

If the system does not operate normally after the obstruction (snow, rain, or foreign matter) is removed, HYUNDAI recommends that the system be inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

WARNING

  • Even if the warning message or warning light does not illuminate on the cluster, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist may malfunction.
  • Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist may not operate properly in areas (such as open terrain) where objects are not detected after the engine is started.
