In this manual: Driving Your Vehicle
~1min read
Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) helps prevent the vehicle from rolling backward when starting from a stop on a hill. The system automatically applies the brakes for approximately 2 seconds and releases the brakes after 2 seconds or when the accelerator pedal is depressed.
WARNING
Always be ready to depress the accelerator pedal when starting on an incline. HAC is active for approximately 2 seconds only.
NOTICE
- HAC does not operate when the shift lever is in P (Park) or N (Neutral).
- HAC activates even if ESC (Electronic Stability Control) is turned off, but does not activate when ESC has malfunctioned.
