Power Adjustment
The front seat can be adjusted using the control switches located on the outside of the seat cushion. Before driving, adjust the seat to a proper position so that you can easily operate the steering wheel, pedals, and controls on the instrument panel.
WARNING
NEVER leave children unattended in the vehicle. Power seats operate when the vehicle is off.
NOTICE
To prevent damage to the seats:
- Always stop adjusting the seat when it has moved as far forward or backward as possible.
- Do not operate the seat longer than necessary when the vehicle is off. This may cause unnecessary battery discharge.
- Do not operate two or more seats at the same time. This may cause an electrical malfunction.

Reclining Seatback
Sitting in a reclined position while the vehicle is moving can be dangerous. Even when wearing the seat belt, your safety system (seat belts and airbags) is significantly reduced if the seatback is reclined.
WARNING
NEVER drive with the seatback reclined while the vehicle is moving. Riding with a reclined seatback increases your chance of serious or fatal injury in a collision or sudden stop. Drivers and passengers must ALWAYS sit upright, properly belted, with the seatback in the upright position.
Seat belts must fit snugly against the hips and chest to work properly. When the seatback is reclined, the shoulder belt cannot do its job because it will not fit snugly against the chest. Instead, it will be in front of you. During an accident, you may be thrown into the seat belt, causing neck or other injuries. The more the seatback is reclined, the greater the chance that the occupant's hips will slide under the lap belt or the occupant's neck will strike the shoulder belt.
