Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable from the battery.
  2. Remove the driver's side airbag side cover. (Refer to Body - "Emergency Pad")
  3. Remove the lower driver airbag panel. (Refer to Body - "Driver Airbag Module")
  4. Remove the EPB switch by unscrewing the 4 screws from the lower emergency cushion panel.

Inspection

EPB Switch
  1. Measure the resistance between the terminals of the EPB switch as shown below.
  2. Measure the resistance between the terminals of the Auto Hold switch as shown below.

Installation

  1. Install the EPB switch assembly.
  2. Connect the connector of the emergency cushion switch unit to the EPB switch.
  3. Install the lower emergency cushion panel. (Refer to Body - Emergency Pad)
  4. Install the driver's side airbag side cover. (Refer to Body - Emergency Pad)
