Seat Heaters and Ventilated Seats
Seat Warmers
The seat heater is designed to warm the seat in cold weather.
WARNING
Seat heaters can cause serious burns, even at low temperatures, especially if used for extended periods of time.
Occupants should feel if the seat becomes too warm so that they can turn it off if necessary.
Persons who cannot detect temperature changes or pain in the skin should exercise extreme caution, especially the following types of occupants:
- Infants, children, elderly or disabled persons, or outpatients.
- Persons with sensitive skin or those who burn easily.
- Fatigued persons.
- Persons under the influence of alcohol.
- Persons taking medications that may cause drowsiness or sleepiness.
WARNING
NEVER place anything on the seat that insulates against heat when the seat heater is operating, such as a blanket or seat cushion. This may cause the seat heater to overheat, resulting in burns or seat damage.
CAUTION
To avoid damage to the seat heaters and seats:
- Never use a solvent such as paint thinner, benzene, alcohol, or gasoline to clean the seat.
- Do not place heavy or sharp objects on seats equipped with seat heaters.
- Do not modify the seat upholstery. This may damage the seat heater or ventilation system.

With the engine running, press the switch to select the seat heater.
In mild weather, or when the seat warmth is not needed, keep the switch in the OFF position.
- Each time you press the switch, the seat temperature setting changes as follows:

- If the switch is pressed for more than 1.5 seconds while the seat is at the warmest setting, the seat heater will turn off.
- The seat heater defaults to the OFF position whenever the Engine Start/Stop button is set to ON.
✽ NOTICE
With the seat heater switch in the ON position, the heating system is activated. The seat automatically controls the seat temperature to the target temperature.
