Heated and Ventilated Seats (Air)

~1min read

The heated and ventilated seats are designed to heat or cool the front seats by blowing air through small vents in the surface of the seat cushion and seatback.

When the seat warmers or coolers are not needed, keep the switch in the OFF position.

With the engine running, press the seat warmer or cooler switch.

  • Each time you press the switch, the airflow changes as follows:
  • If the switch is pressed for more than 1.5 seconds while the seat is warming or cooling, the seat warmer will turn off.
  • The seat warmer or cooler is set to the OFF position by default whenever the engine start/stop button is turned to the ON position.

✽ NOTICE

With the seat warmer or cooler switch in the ON position, the seat system automatically controls the seat temperature to the set temperature.

CAUTION

To prevent damage to the seat warmer, seat cooler and seat:

  • Use the seat warmer and cooler ONLY when the climate control system is on. Using the seat warmer and cooler for extended periods with the climate control system off may cause the seat warmer and cooler to fail.
  • Never use a solvent such as paint thinner, benzene, alcohol, or gasoline to clean the seat.
  • Avoid getting liquids on the surface of the front seat cushion and seatback; this may cause the vents to become blocked and not operate properly.
  • Do not place materials such as plastic bags or newspapers under the seats. They may block the air intake, causing the vents to not operate properly.
  • Do not modify the seat covers. This may damage the seat warmer or cooler.
  • If the vents do not operate, restart the vehicle. If there is no change, we recommend having the vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
