Air Intake Control
Used to select fresh air or recirculation mode.
To change the mode, press the corresponding button.
Recirculation Mode
The indicator light on the button comes on when recirculation mode is selected.
With recirculation mode selected, cabin air is drawn into the heating system and heated or cooled depending on the selected function.
Fresh Air Mode
The button indicator does not light up when the fresh air (outside air) position is selected.
Air enters the vehicle from outside and is heated or cooled depending on the selected function.
NOTE
Prolonged use of heating in recirculation mode (without air conditioning) may cause the windshield and windows to fog up, and the air inside the cabin may become stale.
In addition, prolonged use of the air conditioning with recirculation mode selected may make the cabin air excessively dry.
WARNING - Continuous use of the air conditioning system in recirculation mode may increase humidity inside the vehicle, causing the windows to fog up and resulting in poor visibility. - Do not sleep in the vehicle with the air conditioner or heating system on. This could cause serious injury or death due to a drop in oxygen level and/or body temperature. - Continuous use of the air conditioning system in recirculation mode can cause drowsiness and fatigue, as well as loss of vehicle control. While driving, set the air intake control to fresh air mode as much as possible.
