Introduction

Unleaded Gasoline

~1min read

Your new HYUNDAI vehicle is designed to use only unleaded gasoline with a RON 91 / AKI 87 rating or higher.

It is designed to deliver maximum performance with UNLEADED GASOLINE, and to reduce exhaust emissions and spark plug deposits.

NOTICE NEVER USE LEADED GASOLINE. Use of leaded gasoline damages the catalytic converter, damages the oxygen sensor of the engine control system and adversely affects emission control. Never add fuel system cleaning agents other than those specified (it is recommended that you contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer for details). WARNING - When the pump shuts off automatically after refueling is complete, do not immediately close the fuel filler cap. - Always ensure the cap is securely installed to prevent fuel leakage in case of an accident.

Leaded (if equipped)

In some countries, the vehicle is designed to use leaded gasoline.

Before using leaded gasoline, it is recommended that you ask an authorized HYUNDAI dealer whether such gasoline is available for your vehicle.

The octane number of leaded gasoline is the same as that of unleaded gasoline.
