Speed-dependent door lock system

~3min read

All doors lock automatically when the vehicle speed exceeds 15 km/h. All doors unlock automatically when the engine is switched off or when the ignition key is removed (if equipped).

WARNING - Doors - Doors must always be closed and locked while the vehicle is in motion to prevent accidental door opening. Locked doors also deter potential intruders when the vehicle is stopped or slowing down. - Take care when opening the doors to make sure no vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles or pedestrians are near the door opening area. Opening a door while someone is approaching may cause damage or injury.

With Central Door Locking System (if equipped)

Operate by pressing the central door lock switch.

- Pressing the front part (1) of the switch locks all the doors of the vehicle.

- Pressing the rear part (2) of the switch unlocks all the doors of the vehicle.

- If the key is in the ignition switch and the front door is open, the doors will not lock even if the front part (1) of the central door lock switch is pressed.

- If the smart key is inside the vehicle and a door is open, the doors will not lock even if the front part (1) of the central door lock switch is pressed.

NOTE

If the doors are locked with the transmitter or the smart key, the doors cannot be unlocked with the central door lock/unlock switch (if equipped).
