Disarmed state

~1min read

The system will be disarmed if one of the following conditions occurs.

- The unlock button on the transmitter is pressed. However, if none of the doors (or the tailgate) is opened within 30 seconds, the system will rearm.

- The lock button on the transmitter is pressed while a door (or the tailgate) is open.

The hazard warning lights flash twice to indicate that the system is disarmed.

NOTE - System without immobilizer

- Do not attempt to start the engine if the alarm is active. The starter motor is disabled during the alarm phase.

If the system cannot be disarmed with the transmitter, insert the key into the ignition lock, turn it to ON and wait 30 seconds.

The system will then be disarmed.

- If the key is lost, consult an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

NOTE - Immobilizer system

- If the system cannot be disarmed with the transmitter, insert the key into the ignition switch and start the engine. The system will then be disarmed.

- If the key is lost, consult an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

NOTICE Do not modify, alter or adjust the immobilizer, to avoid malfunctions of the immobilizer system. It is recommended that the system be serviced by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer. Malfunctions caused by improper alteration, adjustment or modification of the immobilizer are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
