DEPOSIT

  1. Remove the front drive shaft. (Refer to Propeller Shaft - Front Propeller Shaft)
  2. Remove the TJ boot. (Refer to Drive Shaft - TJ Joint)
  3. Remove the two clamps (B) located on each side of the dynamic damper (A).
  4. Secure the drive shaft (A) in a vise (B) as shown in the illustration.
  5. Apply powder soap to the shaft to prevent damage to the part between the shaft spline and the dynamic damper when removing the dynamic damper.
  6. Carefully separate the dynamic damper (A) from the shaft (B).

REMEDY

  1. Apply powder soap to the shaft to prevent damage between the shaft spline and the dynamic damper.
  2. Install the dynamic damper.
  3. Install the dynamic damper band.
  4. Using the special service tool (09495-39100), tighten the TJ bellows seal clamps.
  5. Install the TJ gasket. (Refer to Drive Shaft - TJ Joint)
  6. Install the front propeller shaft. (Refer to Propeller Shaft - Front Propeller Shaft)
  7. Check the front alignment. (Refer to Suspension System - "Front Wheel Alignment")
