Other ECU Repair Procedures

DEPOSIT

   Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

   Remove the headliner. (Refer to Body - "Roof Trim")

   Disconnect the curtain airbag harness connector.

   Remove the curtain airbag after loosening the mounting bolts and nuts.

   

REMEDY

1. 1
   Remove the key from the ignition switch.
2. 2
   Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least three minutes.
3. 3
   Tighten the curtain airbag mounting bolts and nuts.

   Tightening torque: 7.8 ~ 11.8 N·m

   Connect the curtain airbag connector.

   Install the headlining. (Refer to Body - Roof Trim)

   Connect the battery negative cable.

   After installing the curtain airbag (CAB), check that the system operates correctly:

   • Turn the ignition switch to ON; the SRS warning lamp should illuminate for approximately six seconds and then go off.
