DEPOSIT

  1. Remove the engine undercover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Undercover")
  2. Drain the engine oil. (Refer to Lubrication System - "Engine Oil")
  3. Remove the oil pan (A). Insert the blade of the Special Service Tool (09215-3C000) between the ladder frame and the oil pan. Remove the old sealant and remove the oil pan.
  4. Remove the oil filter (A).

REMEDY

  1. Install the oil filter (A).

    Tightening torque: 9.8–11.8 N·m

  2. Using a scraper, remove the old gasket from the gasket surfaces.
  3. Apply liquid sealant to the bottom of the oil pan before installing the oil pan. Assemble the parts within 5 minutes after applying the sealant. Bead width: 3.0 ~ 4.0 mm (0.12 ~ 0.16 in.) Sealant: TB1217H or LOCTITE 5900H.
  4. Install the oil pan (A). Tighten the bolts in the correct sequence, in several steps.

    Tightening torque: 9.8–11.8 N·m

  5. Install the remaining parts in the reverse order of removal.
  6. Fill with engine oil. (Refer to Lubrication System - Engine Oil)
