Caring for the Seat Belts

~1min read

Seat belt systems must never be disassembled or modified. In addition, take appropriate precautions to ensure that the seat belts and seat belt system components are not damaged by seat hinges, doors, etc.

Periodic Inspection

All seat belts should be regularly inspected for wear or damage of any kind. Any damaged parts must be replaced.

Keep the Seat Belts Clean and Dry

Seat belts must be kept clean and dry. Use a solution of mild soap and warm water to clean the seat belts if necessary. Bleach, dyes, detergents, or abrasive materials should be avoided, as they may damage and change the fabric.

Replacing the Seat Belts

All seat belt assemblies in use must be replaced if the vehicle is involved in a crash. Replacement must be performed even if no damage is visible. We advise you to contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
