Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS)
In this manual: Driving Your Vehicle
~1min read

The Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) recognizes your lane using a camera mounted on the windshield and warns you when your vehicle drifts out of its lane.
WARNING
When using the Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), observe the following precautions:
- Always check driving conditions. LDWS does not replace safe lane changes or parking within a lane.
- Do not turn the steering wheel sharply if the LDWS warns that your vehicle is leaving the lane.
- If the camera cannot recognize the lane or the vehicle speed does not exceed 60 km/h, the LDWS will not be able to warn that the vehicle is leaving the lane.
- If your vehicle has tinted windows or other types of coating on the windshield, or accessories, the LDWS may not operate properly.
- Keep the camera free from water and other liquids, as it may be damaged.
- Do not disassemble any part of the camera or subject it to strong impacts, as this may damage it.
- Do not place reflective objects on the instrument panel.
- Several factors (including environmental conditions) may affect LDWS operation. It is the driver's responsibility to pay attention to the road and to constantly monitor the vehicle's path.
