Low Tire Pressure Location

Low Tire Pressure Location

Low Tire Pressure Warning Light and Tire Pressure Warning Light
When the Tire Pressure Monitoring System warning light illuminates and a warning message is displayed on the cluster LCD, one or more of your tires is significantly under-inflated. The low tire pressure position indicator will indicate which tire is significantly under-inflated by illuminating the corresponding position light.
If any warning light illuminates, reduce speed immediately, avoid sharp turns, and anticipate longer braking distances. You should stop and check your tires as soon as possible. Inflate the tires to the proper pressure indicated on the tire pressure label, which is located on the driver's side door pillar (center pillar). If you cannot reach a service station or if the tire cannot hold the added air, replace the low pressure tire with the spare wheel.
If you drive the vehicle for about 10 minutes at speeds above 15.5 mph (25 km/h) after replacing a low pressure tire with the spare wheel, the following will occur:
• The TPMS malfunction indicator may flash for approximately 1 minute and then remain continuously illuminated because the TPMS sensor is not installed on the spare wheel.
NOTICE
The spare wheel is not equipped with a tire pressure sensor.
CAUTION
In winter or cold weather, the low tire pressure warning light may illuminate if the tire pressure was set to the recommended tire pressure in warm weather. This does not mean the TPMS is malfunctioning, because a drop in temperature causes tire pressure to decrease.
When you drive your vehicle from a warm area to a cold area, or from a cold area to a warm area, or the outside temperature rises or falls, you should check the tire pressure and adjust the tires to the recommended tire pressure.
WARNING
Driving with significantly low tire pressure makes the vehicle unstable and may result in loss of vehicle control and increased braking distance.
Continued driving with low tire pressure may cause the tire to overheat and fail.
